Where are we? Week 6? 7? Are we even counting anymore? I've found a semi-decent routine that has been helping me find grounding and somewhat of a normal life. On the flip side of that, there have also been habits that I know that don't serve me that have been creeping in as well. Remember that blog on grace? Yeah, working on that little piece of finding balance between discipline and grace.
The pitta in me is wanting to feel more accomplished. Why am I not working on my fitness? Why am I not waking up early? I mean the list goes on. The grace comes in with combatting the self-judgement and doubt.

Of some things I am certain however.
  • Sleep. My body is taking the time it needs to rest, and that is okay. Living and leaning into slow paces and intentional times is the essence of what I tell my clients. Why not practice a little of what I preach?
  • My value is not derived from the amount of things I cross off my to-do list. The world keeps turning whether or not I got the laundry folded the same night or whether I was able to post a blog or not.
  • Creativity is SO needed. My time in the kitchen has been a blessing. Feeding and nourishing my family, spending time with my hands and mother nature's bounty--all of this connects me back with why I do what I do, even why I started this website and blog.
  • SADHANA IS STILL IMPORTANT. Daily routines are NECESSARY. Yeah, they may shift. Yeah, they may look a little different. Yeah, I may start a little later. But. They. Are. Still. NEEDED. Don't skip out on things that fulfill you, on things that ground you, on things that make you whole. Do the yoga class. Do the abhyanga. Do the reading. Don't skip out on yourself.

Here are some more random things that are continuing to give me joy. Much love to all of you!

Ayurveda has long believed that sleep is essential to the well-being and optimal functioning of our bodies. Need more proof? Read this book. I just started it, and has been nothing short of fascinating.
Sri Aurobindo and The Mother have long been spiritual teachers that I have looked to for inspiration and truth. I keep a few of their works on my nightstand at all times to lean on when I feel called to. Recently, thoughts from The Mother have been a consistent source of inspiration as to why I exist and what the path actually. You can find her writings here.
And for the completely physical side of things. This body wash has been nothing short of amazing. Want to smell great and know that it's not killing the environment? Buy this. If there's one bath product you buy during COVID, let it be this one!
And these are a few of my random things for you guys this week!
