So, here I am working on the April newsletter, and the theme that naturally comes to me is one of nourishment. I suppose it just makes sense since it is spring time. Spring to me means nourishment and a revival. It's like a new chance to just go deeper and find yourself more and more with each day and each moment. I think it's pretty cool.
We all need nourishment in our lives. We just have to figure out how that manifests for us. Ayurveda gives many tools for individuals to explore with. All it takes is for you to find out what works for you. I think that's my favorite part of Ayurveda--it's uniqueness from person to person. There is no right or wrong or one way of doing and seeing things. It all varies from person to person. Nourishment is key to a happy, healthy, and holistic life. This obviously comes in many forms. We need to make sure we are nourishing our bodies with proper food and diets, proper exercise routines, and even proper spiritual practices. Again, this varies from person to person. Here are some different techniques that I use in my own life to ensure proper nourishment for me! Try some of the different methods and see if any works for you!
These are just a few ideas that I try to incorporate into my own life as much as possible. Experiment with some things on your own, and share what works for you! What nourishes you? To learn about other Ayurvedic techniques on ways to nourish yourself, contact me, and let's talk!

Happy almost spring time everyone! The weather is finally starting to warm up down here in Texas, and I couldn't be more excited! The warmth of spring literally melts away all that was built up during the winter time. Cold, sticky, slow qualities tend to be more prevalent in the winter--that which is on the outside, will be seen on the inside. Our bodies are influenced by our environment so much, its amazing to pick up on the similarities.
But, with the spring season, all of those phlegm-y qualities start to melt. This is why spring is a great time for doing a cleanse! As the weather and the environment transitions into a new beginning, transitioning our bodies to take on spring with an air of freshness and zeal makes a huge difference. If you don't have time for a full on cleanse, try to incorporate some of these tips to take on spring!
Spring is a beautiful season. Take the time to re-nourish yourself and get back in touch with who you are. Look back to your resolutions you created just a few short months ago and reflect. What were you able to accomplish? What didn't get started at all? This is a great time for reflection and rejuvenation. What will you do to replenish yourself? |
