Hi! I bring you this post from the middle of my vacation in Florida! Let’s start here: where has the summer gone?! I am basically in shock that it is almost August. This time of year tends to be the busiest for myself and my family. Between vacations and work, it feels as though I’m barely at home. Unfortunately, it leaves me feeling the most vulnerable to outside forces. It’s harder to maintain consistency in your routine, and taking care of yourself feels impossible.
I wanted to share a few “on the road necessities” that I live by. I’ve broken it down into a few different parts and categories. The best part of about them? They can be used all year long as travel hacks.

“The most beautiful in the world is, of course, the world itself.” -Wallace Stevens I just got back from a great trip to the East coast for a family wedding. As much as I love traveling (just ask my husband!), it's always really nice to be back home. This time however was a SUPER fast trip inclusive of not enough sleep as I'm used to. The big question I always ask myself is--how do I bounce back from the exhaustion that can set in after a trip no matter how long or short the trip was.
Self-care is in. The idea of taking time out to yourself doing the things that rejuvenate you and make you feel whole is in. It's totally a personal preference, and there's no shame in that. I just love that the awareness is out, and people are carving small moments into their life to fill their cup.
