Hi! Welcome to my site. Just to get you acquainted, I am a lover of all things Yoga, food, and Ayurveda. Being born and raised in a traditional Indian household in the middle of the deep South, I was always trying to find a balance and connection between Eastern and Western cultures. After studying Psychology in college, I left for a 3 month journey to India where I got my first true exposures with Yoga, Sanskrit, and Ayurveda. I began to realize that there was much more of a connection between the East and West than I could have ever imagined.
After getting married, my husband and I went to study at The Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM for the first year program. I fell in love with Ayurveda so much, I decided to continue on and complete the second year. While at the Institute, I also studied Ayuryoga®, a blend of Ayurveda and Yoga created by Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc. I am a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayuryoga Yoga Therapist.
I have been an avid baker since I can remember. While studying at the Institute, I started looking at the different properties of food and baked items from an Ayurvedic perspective. Since then, I have been playing in the kitchen, creating personalized recipes according to individual constitution, season, cleansing routines, and much more.
My passion is to share the wealth of knowledge and wisdom that Ayurveda and Yoga has to anyone that crosses my path. I realized how profound of an impact Ayurveda has in my life when I put it as the foundation of my actions and lifestyle. I hope this website serves as a means for you to realize the power of Ayurveda and how it can be related to yoga and food.
