Yesterday I posted on my Instagram feed on how I have been feeling a little uninspired lately. I guess it's all part of the process. Finding the beautiful in the mundane isn't a terribly easy thing to do, especially when the mundane has been the same scene for quite some time now. Where are we? Like week 9? 10? Is anyone keeping track anymore?
I've been trying to spend more time outside to get some fresh air. Plus, I feel like I thrive outdoors. Anyways, I've recently become awe struck at the beauty and peace that have come from simply sitting outside in our backyard (albeit the gusts of wind coming through have been the least pleasant thing out of everything). One really amazing thing that I've been noticing are the hummingbirds that have been coming to our home for the past few days. I mean, obviously as soon as you notice them, it seems as though they are gone, but nonetheless, it's been pretty awesome.

I looked into the symbolism of hummingbirds, and it's said that hummingbirds are here to teach us about the many blessings in our life. How perfectly timely is that? In a time of un-inspiredness, I'm being told to look for my blessings and to truly find the beauty and inspiration around me. Things are only mundane if we allow them to be. After all, life is only a summation of our perspective. And that perspective is one that we choose, moment to moment.

I hope that you can find something inspiring in your day today. Whatever it may be, may it put a huge smile on your face!

The Good Trade is a curated blog of sustainable living for women. It covers topics such as household, women's health, brands to look at, I mean everything. I appreciate the minimalistic approach that feels like I'm getting a lot without overload of sensory stimuli.
This pretty relatable comedy by Mindy Kaling has been a nice casual watch at night. Lately, I've really been into short shows that make me laugh. As much of a drama girl I am, let's just focus on putting on a few extra laugh lines. Watch it on Netflix.
Any Harry Potter fans here? You're looking at someone who went to all midnight release parties at Barnes and Noble (are release parties for books a thing still? If not, kids these days are really missing out!). Well, if you are, here's a fun and again casual listen on Audible. Only an hour and half, and free if you have a subscription. Audio books are definitely my jam while cooking, driving, or really anything. What are you listening to these days? (And yes, I HIGHLY recommend getting a subscription to Audible. Something I probably couldn't live without!
