Have you gotten back in the swing of things, or are you still in a post-holiday coma? I'm somewhere in the middle, with work actually having started this week.

Finding a rhythm and routine feels so daunting after a hiatus of some non-structure. There's this fine balance in life of finding joy in structure and non-structure. How do we lean into both and truly listen to what our beings are telling us? There is a natural craving to slow down and speed back up, but how often are we actually listening? Do we know what to hone in on?

It's the transition between the two that gets me, to be perfectly honest. As I transition from non-structure to structure this week, I find my body resisting. Maybe I got too comfortable? Doing what's best for my being will always take precedence. Because at the end of the day, I still have to figure out how to get to work at the time I do.

Alas, the balance in anything is what the whole human conundrum is all about anyways, right?! I just pray that tomorrow, I won't crawl back into my bed and sleep an extra hour.

Here are a few things that are helping me get back into the right state of mind.

I have REALLY been using the heck out of my health app on my phone when it comes to sleep. I've made it an intention to turn my phone off after 9pm, I'm winding down by 930pm, and asleep by 945pm at the LATEST. Do you use sleep schedules on your phone, or anything else that forces you to wind down?! If not, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Okay. In an effort to get in more veggies than normal into our diet, I have been experimenting with various seasonings and spice mixes. While I was at Trader Joe's a few days ago, I came upon this Italian seasoning, and YALL. It is SO GOOD. It has a slight kick to it, so you don't need a ton. But literally all flavor profiles you could ask for are there. Go get you some of this, and consider your next roasted veggies complete!

Again, this is an attempt to get in more nutrients, and hopefully ward off the sugar cravings that I just need to cut now. Going to start trying out this Organifi Red Juice. Organifi is a great company that sells high-quality supplements. I haven't started this quite yet, but looking to incorporate this Red Juice which has tons of great things like pomegranate, reishi, acai, cranberry, and other great "red things" once a day into my diet. From an Ayurvedic perspective a lot of these ingredients are great for rasa and rakta dhatus (lymph and blood systems), so I'm hoping to get some added cleansing benefits! Will let you know how it goes.
As you find your rhythm and routine and transition back from the holidays, I hope you find tools and resources to support you. Remember, you never have to do life alone. At the very least, I hope this blog and this community make you feel part of something much greater!

much love,
-n
