Chaos. Crazy. Busy. Hectic. Stressful.
These are all words that we find are used to describe life more and more and more. It's a pity isn't it? We are constantly on the go and go, that life truly is passing us by. It is for me at least. I think back to this last week, and I can barely remember what I ate, yet alone all of the joyous memories that were created--or were there any? With the world moving so fast, and probably even faster, how do we take the time to slow down so that we are able to actually experience every moment? Having the ability to find your space allows you to do just that. The best part? It is such a personal concept, that whatever and however you find that only you will be able to tell. If there is one thing that I tell people these days it's to find your space, however that manifests for you. Here are some things that have worked for me:

Summer has come and gone. The autumn air is strong. Times have been reset, the nights are cooler, and the night comes a lot quicker than I anticipated. Well, it's safe to say one of my favorite seasons has finally arrived (minus the fact that it's still quite warm in the daytime, but who's upset?). It's finally time to cool off and cool down from the exhausting heat of the summer.
But, truthfully, the transition can be quite shocking to our systems. If your environment is anything like the one I live in, the cold comes quick, leaving me little to no time to prepare for the cooler and drier weather. The key parts of autumn to take into consideration, is that it is vata time of the year. Dry, cool, rough, light are all qualities that are naturally going to be higher. Remember, that which is going on outside our bodies, is going to happen inside our bodies. We have to combat this by taking in the opposite qualities and increasing how these manifest within us! We want to favor oily, smooth, warm, and heavy in our lives. How do we become more grounded? How do we stay warm? These are questions that you should be asking. Try to incorporate some of these tips to help you transition more smoothly:

Every time I open up Facebook or Instagram, I see millions of pictures of people basking in all that is summertime glory. And I love it. Pools, family vacations, beaches--all of it. Some of my best memories growing up are from this marvelous season.
With all of that amazing-ness being said, it's still just as important to take care of yourself during the summer. The sun can be a little harsh to our bodies, and with all the traveling that takes place, our bodily systems can easily be thrown off. Its important to incorporate practices and foods that are aligned with the external environment, to ensure that our internal one stays healthy and strong.
